Background

NUCO travel provides holidays and experiences for snowsports enthusiasts. National Express Transport Solutions were called on to provide 61 vehicles, transporting over 3,000 university students from various locations across the UK to ski resorts in the South and East of France.

Our Transport Solution

We immediately assigned a project management team to NUCO travel to ensure a bespoke service was provided. All of our partner operators were contacted to gather interest in working with us on the event, as well as, reserving a number of our own vehicles and drivers for the duration of the hire. Each itinerary was reviewed by our operations team to ensure that routes were planned to maximum efficiency and that all drivers had sufficient operational and driving hours to get to resorts.

Contact was maintained daily in the lead-up to the ski group departures to ensure that all details and any changes were updated and all operators had been provided with final itinerary details. As of a result of the tours travelling outside of the UK, contingency plans were put in place with our European operators in the event of vehicle breakdowns.
