In 2005, the Kings Ferry - part of National Express Transport Solutions was called on to provide transportation services to all sectors within the BBC. Since then, we have enjoyed a long-standing working relationship with the BBC spanning over 15 years providing a range of vehicles from minibuses to sleeper coaches.
Through the combined strength of our various brands, we continue to successfully deliver ground transport solutions to the BBC throughout the UK & Europe. Our relationship with the BBC and the nature of their work has seen us support ad-hoc private hires, production recce transport, staff shuttles, and large-scale events such as the Royal Wedding, Glastonbury, Reading Festival, and D-Day celebrations. This has seen circa 1,300 vehicles per year covering an average of 97,000 miles provided.
The nature of the BBC's requirements requires a dedicated Account Manager serving as a singular point of contact managing all booking requests, developing a deep understanding of the differing requirements of the Client. . Additionally, the BBC have access to an online booking portal that enables them to load various pickup and drop-off locations, length of hires, fleet requirements and any other needs (e.g. onboard toilets, aircon, wheelchair access etc). This portal inbox is overseen by their dedicated in-house account manager who responds to all enquiries within 24 hours.
The dedicated account manager provides monthly MI and CO2 reporting to the client enabling them to monitor all subsequent travel movements.
