Kings Ferry, a part of National Express Transport Solutions, has provided secure, high-class transportation for the Conservative Party during its election campaigns in 2010, 2015, 2019, and 2024. In particular, Kings Ferry played a crucial role in ensuring that the party's leaders, including David Cameron in 2010 and 2015, and the current leadership in 2024, were safely transported across the UK in bespoke vehicles—known as the "Battle Bus."
Key Challenges
High-profile Client and Security Requirements: Due to the high profile nature of the client and hire meant that strict confidentiality and security protocols had to be adhered to, especially considering the political context and the potential for public interest in the movements of high-profile individuals like party leaders and key figures.
Short Notice: The election campaign in 2024 was announced less than two months prior to the election date, leaving limited time to coordinate the transportation plan.
Logistical Complexity: The transportation needs were dynamic and involved a wide range of vehicles, including high-security VIP coaches and 53-seat executive coaches in 2024.
The vehicles were required to move across the UK while also coordinating with other travel methods, such as train or air travel, for party leaders.

In 2024, Kings Ferry provided a total of 1 VIP style coach and 1 executive 53-seat coach, tailored to meet the specific needs of the Conservative Party's campaign team.
The primary VIP vehicle was wrapped in the livery specified by the Conservative Party, ensuring consistency in branding across all campaign materials.
The interior of the primary vehicle was customised for the comfort and security of the passengers, creating an optimal working environment for party leaders and their teams.
