It is with much regret that I have to inform you The Kings Ferry commuter service will cease operating on Friday 24 December.
This has been an incredibly difficult decision to make and has not been taken lightly. The ongoing challenges created by COVID 19 have reduced demand to such an extent that means our services are not commercially viable and unlikely to become so in the near future.
There are no current plans to reinstate the service however we will continue to monitor travel patterns and if circumstances change in the future we will look at ways to reintroduce our commuter services.
I would like to thank all our customers past and present for their support over the last almost 40 years, it has been a pleasure transporting you to and from London on a daily basis.

The commuter travel market has been heavily impacted by Covid-19 both nationally and locally. Demand levels have reduced dramatically for all transport providers in this sector and our own commuter services are at a point where they are no longer viable for us to continue operating.
Since the start of the pandemic, we have exhausted all options in trying to make this part of the business work. In light of the continued Covid uncertainties and updated Government guidance, we have taken the tough decision to end our commuter services on Friday 24th December 2021.
The last day of service will be Friday 24th December when we will be operating a Christmas timetable.
There are currently no plans to restart the commuter service in the New Year. However, if the situation changes in the future, we’ll be keen to look at ways to bring back commuter services on a more viable footing.
No, The Kings Ferry will continue to provide private hire, corporate and contract services.

Ticket refunds will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for the period used. The remaining value will be refunded to the bank account nominated on our refund form.
Yes, if the validity of your ticket was frozen due to Covid you can apply for a refund by completing our refund form.
