Children under 14 years of age are not permitted to travel without being accompanied throughout the journey by a responsible person aged 16 years or over.
Children aged 14 - 15 years old may travel unaccompanied, as from 5am, arriving at their booked destination no later than 10pm. Unaccompanied children will be asked for proof of age or a signed letter of permission from their parent/guardian. (sms or chat based messages are not permissible)

One infant aged 0-2 travels free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. Additional infants aged 0-2 must be paid for. If you are travelling with more than 1 infant aged 0-2, please book the additional infant as 'Children (3-15).

National Express welcomes ABE as new partner operator


ABE will operate National Express services between London Stansted Airport and Ipswich from 1 April

The UK’s leading scheduled coach operator National Express has announced that Airport Bus Express Ltd (ABE), will join its national network of partner operators.

From 1 April, ABE will operate the 717 service between London Stansted Airport and Ipswich on behalf of National Express, providing eight round-trips per day.

ABE joins National Express’ established network of 29 partner operators, which play a vital role in delivering reliable, high-quality express coach services across the company’s long-distance coach network.

The partnership reflects National Express’ long-standing approach of working with experienced regional operators to deliver services locally while maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability and customer care, ensuring passengers receive the same trusted experience wherever they travel on the network.

National Express’ modern coach services link hundreds of destinations across the country, including all major UK airports, with leather reclining seats, free Wi-Fi on selected services, USB power sockets and a generous luggage allowance of up to 20kg.
