UCB Pharma Ltd – The provision of COVID-compliant vehicles from April to August 2020
Locations: Slough
Background
UCB are a multinational biopharmaceutical company with UK offices based in Slough. Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, Stewarts Coaches were called on to provide two staff shuttle routes from Paddington & Reading to the UCB offices in Slough to allow staff to travel to work safely and avoid the use of public transport as advised by the Government. This hire utilised 3 vehicles.
Our Transport Solution
Our project team worked to review UCB's requirements and produced timetables to guarantee that staff arrived to work on time. Passenger numbers were also reviewed to ensure that the vehicles provided allowed UCB staff to travel on board safely and within the recommended 2m social distancing.
In total 3 vehicles were utilised and each of these was fitted with brand new air purification systems, anti-bac stations, PPE, signage to display which seats are to be used and driver safety screens. After each journey, vehicles were fully cleaned and once back in the depot vehicles were fogged each evening.
