Hampshire Cricket
Background
Hampshire Cricket are a well-decorated first-class county club and were the first British domestic side to win the Twenty20 competition in 2010, has won 12 limited-overs titles, and most recently the 2018 Royal London One-Day Cup triumph.
The club has a rich history and has amassed major honours such as the County Championship in 1961 and 1973. Hampshire Cricket has had a prevailing relationship with Lucketts Travel and were suppliers of the club from 2019 to 2023.
With almost 100 years of experience in providing coach hire, Lucketts Travel are experts in providing sports coach hire for team travel and this is central to the Hampshire Cricket partnership.
Our transport solution
Lucketts Travel has provided comfortable, safe and luxury VIP transport to the players and coaching team from the outstanding Ageas bowl cricket stadium to all away games during the season.
Lucketts Travel provided away transportation for the full duration of the professional cricket season beginning mid-April until the end of September.
Coach hire is now one of the most environmentally friendly modes of transport and Lucketts Travel has made a key decision in having a driver stay with the team on overnight journeys. This is to avoid dead mileage in the form of the coach moving between Lucketts depots and the team hotel.

Hampshire Cricket’s choice to travel 5006 miles on a luxury VIP coach for their 20 away games this sporting season means that they’ve avoided on average:
- 43.1 tonnes of emissions in comparison to a car (Diesel & Petrol Car average)
- 27.4 tonnes of emissions in comparison to the average Hybrid car
*Based on 32 players and staff travelling 424km per game across 19 games.
